LITTLE ATLAS Releases "Hollow"
on 10T Records
ATLANTA, Georgia - September 4,
2007 (10T Records) - 10T Records
is proud to announce the release
of the brand new full length CD
release by Little Atlas,
entitled "Hollow" on October 8,
2007. This will be the
Miami-based band's 3rd official
release and their first on 10T
Records.
The Little Atlas style is
difficult to categorize using
current artists as a point of
reference. The band has really
carved out its own unique sound
amid the current progressive
rock landscape, creating
compositions that range from
haunting and dark, to frolicking
and frenetic. Little Atlas is a
work in progress - an
ever-changing sound reflecting
the mood and will of its
creators. Their music has been
described as "Music for
Musicians" (Miami Herald) and as
"Esoteric, yet familiar, complex
yet catchy, a thoroughly unique
sound and approach to song
crafting" (Florida Jam
Magazine)."
Little Atlas returns with their
brand new, full-length CD
release "Hollow." Featuring 10
tracks, "Hollow," is easily the
band's most mature and
accomplished work to date. All
of the signature elements of the
Little Atlas sound are firmly in
place, along with even tighter
arrangements, stronger
production, and an overall more
muscular approach that takes
their unique sound into new and
exciting places.
The songs on "Hollow" are
presented as 10 distinct
character studies, each told
from a first-person perspective
with a dynamic display of
emotion, lyrical insight and
soaring melodic hooks. From
ethereal soundscapes to
unexpected angular twists - from
pastoral passages to aggressive
and edgy rock, this is a new and
evolved Little Atlas that is
both unclassifiable and
undeniable. The final mixes of
"Hollow" were mastered by
multiple Grammy Award-winner Joe
Palmaccio (Emerson, Lake &
Palmer, Jeff Buckley, Derek &
The Dominoes).
"We feel that this album is both
our strongest and most eclectic
release to date," says Steve
Katsikas (lead vocals,
keyboards, saxophone). "We're
very pleased to be working with
10T Records alongside a great
roster of bands we enjoy and
respect."
"We have known the guys in
Little Atlas for years, and
there's a real deep satisfaction
we have in being able to be a
part of this great new CD," says
10T Records president Steve
Carroll. "Little Atlas was one
of the bands that we originally
built 10T Records around, and I
know that this CD will not only
be embraced by their existing
fans, it will also initiate a
whole new legion to their
ranks."
"Hollow" " is available for
immediate pre-order through the
10T Records website. All orders
received between now and the
official release date will ship
by the end of the week prior to
the official release.
Additionally, selected tracks
from "Hollow" are available to
preview in their entirety
through the 10T Records website:
http://www.10trecords.com/index.asp?PageAction=VIEWPROD&ProdID=25
After October 8, "Hollow" will

Wanderlust named as finalist for
Album of the Year by National
Review!
Wanderlust has
selected by The National Review as
one of 4 finalists for "Album of
the Year". Journalist S.T.
Karnick wrote the following:
The Florida band
Little Atlas
just keeps getting
better. Their second and
most recent album,
Wanderlust,
combines strong
melodicism,
philosophical depth, and
musical sophistication.
The vocal melodies are
significantly catchier
than those of most
major-label pop groups,
and the arrangements,
featuring complex
interplay between
guitars and keyboards,
eccentric rhythms,
unusual chord
progressions, and quick
changes of tempo, make
most rock music seem
stuffy by comparison. |

CD
Release Party a great success
Tobacco Road was
the place to be last night for
Little Atlas' CD Release
Party. Composer and guitar
monster Raimundo Rodulfo kicked
things off with a smoking solo set
prior to Little Atlas taking the
stage around 11. A large and
enthusiastic crowd was on
hand. Thanks to all who
attended, to Danny Jessup who
helped set up the show, and to
Tobacco Road, the best rock club
in Miami!
Take a look of some
pictures.

Consisting of 7 songs clocking in at nearly an hour, Miami, Florida art-rockers, Little Atlas, have released “Wanderlust”. Following a new direction that was hinted at in their last album (the acclaimed “Surface Serene”), the band’s latest release represents their most adventurous work to date. All songs on this CD were fully co-written by the 4 bandmates yielding a cohesive and unique listening experience. Compositions are filled with vocal-driven melodic passages punctuated by angular instrumental diversions. Incorporating elements of modern progressive rock (e.g., Spock’s Beard, Porcupine Tree, Echolyn), Hey-Day Art Rock (Genesis, Yes, Rush), and even Venezuelan folk stylings, the band has achieved a thoroughly unique sound that still manages to pay homage to their influences. Lyrically, the 7 songs cover a wide swath of content including child abuse, political oppression, existential philosophy, and even alien abduction. Wanderlust’s core reflects that Little Atlas is a working, live-band with the seven songs invoking a “carefully crafted by playing them live” vibe. Surrounding this “core” is a full and creative use of studio wizardry that combines to create a satisfying and immersive listening experience. Manufactured with Enhanced Content that is available when playing the CD on a computer, the album contains a multi-camera, live video of the band performing. Self-produced and engineered, Wanderlust is the product of over 12 months of dedicated rehearsal, recording, and experimentation. Mastered by renowned engineer Rodney Mills (Pearl Jam, Cheryl Crow, Doobie Brothers, Journey), Wanderlust is a natural progression in the ever-evolving sound of this unique quartet.

We are hard at work on our upcoming CD which will be entitled "Wanderlust". We are anticipating an early 2005 release time. The music is coming together amazingly well. This album marks a stylistic departure for the band as they explore more "epic" soundscapes and more adventurous arrangements. All songs were cowritten by all members of the band making this a cohesive listening experience.

Wow! We just finally caught our breaths from ROSfest (www.rosfest.com). What an amazing weekend. Highlights included great sets by the other bands with standout performances by Izz and Salem Hill, a Patron Party jam with members of Little Atlas, Izz, and Salem Hill, Diego jumping on drums to play Marillion covers with Izz, and, of course, our own set which lasted 90 minutes (ok, 94 minutes, sorry Kevin) but seemed to fly by in an instant. We made some great new friends and had the musical weekend of our lives. Some pics are posted at various websites. Try:
